Throughout Georgia you’ll find quail plantations and hunting lodges, and nearly 100 Wildlife Management Areas with approximately 1 million acres of public hunting lands. Hunters age 16 years old and older are required to have a hunting license, available from sporting goods stores, hardware stores, and from Department of Natural Resources’ Law Enforcement offices statewide.
The Altamaha Waterfowl Management Area at Altamaha WMA consists of 3,154 acres of managed waterfowl impoundments and some 27,000 acres of bottomland hardwoods and cypress-tupelo swamps. The property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, waterfowl, and dove.

The lodge accommodates up to 33 guests and the stables up to 18 horses. The Moose Lodge Pavilion is used for weddings, corporate retreats, and family reunions. For additional fun, there is a tennis court and basketball court, skeet shooting, a large playground, and of course, horseback riding!
Noontootla Creek Farms is open to the public with over two miles of quality trout water and excellent quail hunting. We are open year around with the best hunting and fishing taking place from the Fall through Spring of the following year. An on-site farmhouse is available for rental.

Silver Shoe Ranch is a quail hunting preserve in southern Whitfield County extending into northern Gordon County. Our fast-flying birds, great bird dogs, and courteous professional guides make for a great wing shooting experience for the seasoned quail hunter as well as the first timer.
Boggs Creek Recreation Area provides excellent hiking, picnicking, fishing, wildlife and bird-watching, sunrise to sunset, seven days per week. A day-use parking area allows visitors walk-in access past mile 1.1 of Boggs Creek Road, beyond which motorized access is restricted.
