The Alpha Loop is a next-generation pedestrian trail system that offers easy access to the city’s dining, entertainment, offices, and neighborhoods, while supporting local wellness, environmental sustainability, and community fun. Part mobility solution, part community connector, Alpharetta’s famous Alpha Loop is a signature asset that links major districts and enhances the city’s small-town community feel.

The first completed segment of the Alpha Loop debuted in 2020, connecting Downtown Alpharetta to Avalon. Later, the Alpha Loop was extended through NorthWinds linking offices to nearby neighborhoods, restaurants, and retail. Today, the trail is over 6 miles long, and a new connection to North Point Mall is currently under construction. Future phases include a direct connection to the Big Creek Greenway.
