The complex has soccer fields and a practice area, a multi-purpose field, outdoor basketball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a community center that contains a multipurpose classroom space and a small exercise equipped studio. A campground offers shaded sites along the edge of quiet Hamburg Lake. Anglers can enjoy fishing for largemouth bass, crappie and bream. The restored 1921 water-powered gristmill is still operational.

Perhaps best known for its golf course, this park also offers a lakeside beach and more than 24 miles of trails for hikers and horseback riders.

Fish at the park’s lake, with nearby tennis courts, picnic areas and pavilions. Historic military vehicles and equipment is also on display, daily from 6 am to 9 pm.

High Shoals Falls in the Burnt Hickory area offers a stunningly lovely area of serene woods and a rugged rock formation that allows a spray of water to plunge down the rock into a natural basin below.
