The golf carts will transport you over bridges, through tunnels and along paths winding through natural settings of lakes, parks and playgrounds, and connecting to shopping, dining, resort-styled hotel/conference centers, golf, and other recreation. The multi-use path system is also ideal for runners, walkers and cyclists.

The cart paths help make Peachtree City a geocacher’s paradise. Rand McNally lists Peachtree City as one of the top places in the country for geocaching, which is easy to understand given that there are more than 300 caches hidden around the city. Get started with a list of 19 caches in the area included in the Geocache passport brochure from the Peachtree City Convention & Visitor Bureau.

If you prefer to walk paths that are a little more rugged than the cart paths and see nature that is a bit more “wild,” look no further than the Flat Creek Nature Area or the Line Creek Nature Area. Flat Creek Nature Area is a 513-acre wetland that extends 3.5 miles along the Flat Creek. The nature area includes a mulch trail, a 1,200-foot boardwalk and two viewing platforms with benches. You can reach the boardwalk by the nature trail starting beside the Fred Amphitheater or from

the cart path. Line Creek Nature Area is a 70-acre public preserve along Line Creek. This area offers a mix of upland hardwood forest, granite outcroppings and a rushing stream bordered by native azaleas. Visitors can enjoy a fishing dock on a small pond, a gazebo and several miles of nature trails. Please note, trails are for hikers only – no mountain bikes.

Peachtree City has more than 40 parks, fields and recreation centers, including the All Children’s Playground, the William B. Davis BMX Track, an aquatic center, dog park, picnic areas, athletic fields and so much more.

Get your two-wheeled thrills at the William L. Davis BMX Track at the McIntosh Trail Complex. The BMX Track is a great location for any bike riding and racing experience level. The track is a full-service lighted facility with a beautiful park-like setting. Bleachers are available for the comfort of the crowds, as well as concessions and restrooms. The BMX Track is great for casual bikes ride as well as professional bike races.

In addition to the facilities operated by Peachtree City Parks & Recreation, Fayette County Parks & Recreation operates Lake McIntosh Park, which provides the only public access to 650-acre Lake McIntosh. Amenities at this park include walking trails, picnic pavilion, playground, gazebo, boat ramp and restrooms.

If you are a golfer, Peachtree City offers 63 holes of championship golf at three golf and country clubs that also offer elegant clubhouses, pro shops, golf instruction, and more.
