We’re all about Farm Ag-Venture! What is that, you say? Well, it’s bumping along on real sociable hayrides, watching our herding dogs at work, meeting friendly farm animals, enjoying picnics, and MORE!

The location hosts many events through the year. It features benches as well as a gazebo. The downtown area also holds a weekly farmers market.

As early as 1911, the theatre was first used to show slides and silent movies in downtown Canton. The Canton Theatre is now an elegant restored facility bringing Broadway productions to downtown Canton.

The Cherokee Arts Center offers a wide array of activities for adults and children. The Arts Center hosts exhibits annually that celebrate local and regional fine artists, as well as the annual Canton Festival of the Arts.

Native Georgia marble structure built in the early 1900s. Old jail cells at the front of the building looked out on the plaza and rear of the marble eagles, leading to the saying that a person was not ‘in jail,’ but ‘behind the eagles.

The Crescent Farm’s Rock Barn, originally a race horse stable, was constructed in 1906 by Augustus Lee Coggins. It is believed to be the only existing rock barn in Georgia.

This park features 58 acres that include an amphitheater, public bathroom, two community pavilions, inclusive playgrounds, public canoe launch, ½ mile concrete walking trail connecting to Etowah River Trail and Heritage Park, recreational field space, bridge crossing over the Etowah River and many picnic tables.

Fairways of Canton take players on a journey through 18 holes and 6500 yards of play. The course is a par 72, and it features some of the best views in the region. Be warned — this is not a course that can be overpowered.

Built in the 1830s by local militia, it was one of about 25 stockades in the Cherokee Indian Nation used by Federal and State troops during the Cherokee Removal in 1838. A marker gives details of the event.

The G. Cecil Pruett Community Center Family YMCA is a full-service facility with wellness center, indoor pool, outdoor family leisure pools, gymnasium, game room, indoor walking track, playground, and group exercise classes. Guest passes available. YMCA Away Pass accepted.

The park has walking trails, a pond and a large field where you can picnic or play sports.

Brown was elected State Senator, Judge of the Superior Court, and Governor during the Civil War. His Canton home stood near the park. The park has swings, slides, and a merry go round.

Sixes Mill is the site of one of the earliest settlements in north Georgia. The mill that stands today was rebuilt between 1878 and 1880. Also a military removal encampment during the ‘Trail of Tears’ in 1838.

151 campsites (118 sites have 50 amp electrical and water hookups, 2 with sewer hookups, 41 sites without water and electric), dump station, coin laundry, hot showers, boat ramp, swimming beach, playgrounds, attendant on duty.

In addition to petting and feeding our friendly miniature farm animals, kids can enjoy pony rides and hay rides, seasonal arts and crafts demonstrations, and panning for gold and arrowheads.

Union Hill Community Center is a former school house that was recently renovated by CRPA. The building now functions as a community center and banquet hall that is available to rent for special occasions.
