Operated by Carroll County, John Tanner Park is best known for its large sand swimming beach. It is a recreational haven for water lovers looking for boating and fishing, and for land-lovers who want to camp, picnic, play mini-golf, volleyball or horseshoes, or hike the nature trail.

This 256-acre tract along the Little Tallapoosa River includes paved and natural trails for hiking and equestrian use, tent and RV camping, a comfort station and a 7-acre open meadow.

Oak Mountain Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private golf club in Carrollton, Georgia. The course measures over 7100 yards from the championship tees and will test everyone from the beginner to the tour player.

Oak Mountain Park, adjacent to the Carroll County Athletic Complex, combines recreation, preservation of green space, education, programming, historical heritage, wildlife viewing and exercise.
