Historic Banning Mills is an adventure resort with two Guinness World Records located just 45 minutes West of Atlanta. At this secluded nature escape you’ll find the world’s largest zip line course and climbing wall, as well as kayaking, horseback riding, summer camps, overnight lodging, team building, wildlife shows, and so much more!

Zip Line Tours
Historic Banning Mills holds the Guinness World Record for the longest zip line course with more than 11 miles of zip lines, suspension bridges, and aerial obstacles to explore! Tons of different tour options allow guests to choose the level of adventure that best fits them, from beginner to extreme!

Climbing Walls
Historic Banning Mills holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest free standing climbing wall at over 147 feet tall. Four climbing walls ranging from 25 – 147 feet tall can be found attached to the 150 foot tall adventure tower, along with a 100 foot free fall, two rappelling walls, and tons of zip lines!

Horseback Tours
Historic Banning Mills offers exciting horseback tours providing guests a unique way to explore the historic Snake Creek Gorge. Along the ride guests will travel down historic water spill ways and trials and discover several ruins from the old textile mills while taking in the gorgeous natural scenery!

Hiking
Historic Banning Mills has over 15 miles of hiking trails to explore along the historic Snake Creek Gorge! Along the trails you’ll find tons of suspension bridges from a few feet long to more than 600 feet in length! During your hike you’ll discover historic ruins from the once booming textile industry that used to call this area home, along with gorgeous views of the gorge and natural scenery along the creek.

Kayaking
Historic Banning Mills offers a 7-mile kayak tour along a beautiful section of the Chattahoochee River, providing a guided tour of the area Chief William McIntosh and many Native Americans once called home! This area of the river is mostly calm with rapids generally not reaching higher than class one, allowing the entire family to join in the fun!

Birds of Prey Shows
On select dates Historic Banning Mills offers live Birds of Prey shows allowing guests to get up close and personal with many unique native species of birds, including: an American Bald Eagle, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Barn Owls, Barred Owls, Red Tailed Hawks, Turkey Vultures, Black Vultures, Paragon Falcons, and more!
