Sixes Mill/Gresham’s Mill

Located on private property, the mill can be easily seen from Sixes Road; a pull-off just after the top of the rise from the Interstate Exit 11 affords a safe parking area. Sixes Mill is the site of one of the earliest settlements in north Georgia. The mill that stands today was rebuilt between 1878 and 1880. Also a military removal encampment during the ‘Trail of Tears’ in 1838.
