Vogel State Park Trails

Vogel State Park is 11 miles south of Blairsville, Georgia on US 129. The park is one of the oldest and most scenic state parks in Georgia. Guests can hike 17 miles of trails, as well as camping, picnicking, mini-golf, biking, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, and other activities. All of the park’s trail have the same starting point.

Coosa Backcountry Trail

The trails starts 100 yards from the Vogel State Park Visitor Center. Beginning at the Backcountry Trailhead, follow the green-blazed access trail to where the green-blazed Coosa Backcountry Trail begins. It loops up and over the summit of Duncan Ridge and connects with several trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Hikers will climb and descend over one mile in elevation and cross three ridgelines.
