DO IT: Hiking - Lee’s Loop – Jackson Hill Trails

Lee’s Loop – Jackson Hill Trails - Jackson Hill Trail System

The longest trail in the system, this loop goes completely around Jackson Hill and is the access trail for most of the other trails in the system. The elevation varies almost 140 feet on the loop. The first half-mile brings you to the highest point of the trail, which is on the side of Jackson Hill. At the top of the hill is the site of the Old Water Works. Take a trip to the top via the Water Works Way trail, which spurs off Lee’s Loop just after the loop passes the trailhead for Davis Drive. Water Works Way will add 0.4. miles to your distance if you hike to the end and back. The elevation decreases steadily for the last quarter of the loop, giving the hike a nice built-in cool down.
