Recreational area with 32 RV sites: 30-amp electric hook-ups, water, fire ring, picnic table, deck and dump station; 25 primitive camping sites with restrooms and showers; lake, swimming and beach area, playgrounds, picnic pavilion, boat launch, john boat rentals, and a 1.5 mile nature trail. Our 20 acre park is on both sides of Mineral Springs Creek and adjoins the Historic Mineral Springs. 5 acres on one side of the creek are for RV camping with 26 full hookup sites. On the other side, are 3 acres of RV sites with 12 full hookups. Tent camping, gold panning available.
Operated by Carroll County, John Tanner Park is best known for its large sand swimming beach. It is a recreational haven for water lovers looking for boating and fishing, and for land-lovers who want to camp, picnic, play mini-golf, volleyball or horseshoes, or hike the nature trail.
All 10 RV sites are easily accessed via double wide entrance and exits ramps. Camp in large level sites, 30 or 50 amp, full hook-up and free WI-FI. RV Park has level, pull-thru sites that are Big Rig Friendly. Other amenities include water, and dumping for campers. Catch-out pond fishing is within walking distance of the RV Park.
Although we have a limited number of sites they are all very spacious. With 20 campsites, 15 of which are on the river, it allows for a more private camping experience. People are always surprised to see how nice and clean our Cabins are kept and how personable our staff are. Motorcycle friendly.
Swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing on Lake Hartwell are prime reasons to visit Hart Outdoor Recreation Area in northeast Georgia. The park's boat ramps and docks offer easy access to all water sports. Visitors can also enjoy hiking/biking trails and a children's playground.
