The gem of Achasta is the 6,995-yard, par-72 Achasta Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy this challenging yet playable masterpiece, with its bent grass greens and manicured fairways that roll gently past picturesque views of the Chestatee River.

Planned around an ‘old family farm’ theme, CCVW features a c.1820 hand-hewn log cabin which serves as guest accommodations overlooking the vineyard. The ‘loft’ of the barn houses the tasting room atop the winery. Live music every Sat. and Sun., 2-5pm. Tasting room Thurs.-Sat. 11am-5:30pm and Sun. 12:30-5:30pm.

City of Dahlonega Park provides a walking trail, two covered picnic areas, and children’s playground equipment.

The museum is inside the 1836 Lumpkin County Courthouse, one of the oldest courthouse buildings in Georgia. Visitors can explore the courthouse features, including beautiful wooden chapel seats from 1889 and the judge’s chambers. Visitors can see a complete set of rare coins minted in Dahlonega, a gold nugget weighing more than five ounces, a large hydraulic cannon and nozzle used to blast soil from mountainsides, a film and gift shop.

Originally known for romantic honeymoon cabins, the resort has quickly become a popular destination for group retreats, corporate events, weddings, and receptions. Activities include horseback riding, outdoor pool, volleyball courts and walking trails.

The 26-acre Lumpkin County Park includes athletic fields, picnic pavilions, and a 24,000 square-foot community center. The 60-acre sports complex includes baseball fields, softball fields, batting cage, recreation center with basketball court and several multi-purpose/banquet rooms for rental.
