DO IT: Hiking

This short connector trail ties together the Nortons Knob Trail, Jackson Hill Drive Trail and Davis Drive Trail.

The trailhead for this trail is at Boswell Cabin. This is an out-and-back trail that intersects twice with Lee’s Loop, allowing it to be included in a loop.

Go for a ride on the Yellow Jacket Equestrian Trail that forms a loop through the east side of General Coffee State Park. Horse trailer parking is available at Picnic Shelter #7, and all riders must check in at the park office.

Gopher Loop takes hikers to colonies of Gopher Tortoises, the only tortoise in the Southeast. It is also a keystone species that is vital to the ecosystem.
