Home to more than 1,000 formerly abused/neglected and surrendered animals, this 250-acre animal sanctuary provides a beautiful, park-like setting families can enjoy as they embark on a free self-guided tour or paid behind-the-scenes guided tour.

This 129-acre park features a 0.3-mile walking/jogging track, 2 picnic pavilions, 14 soccer fields, a dog park, and Henry County’s largest public playground, complete with a fitness circuit, handicap accessible equipment, a separate play area to inspire imaginative play in little ones, and a specially designed “roadway” on which kids can ride their bikes and bigwheels while learning the “rules of the road.”

This 11-acre park offers 4 lighted baseball/softball fields, a 0.3-mile paved walking/jogging track, 1 picnic pavilion and a playground.

North Park is a 97-acre park that includes five lighted tennis courts, six pickleball courts, two multi-purpose synthetic turf fields, eight lighted softball fields, two playgrounds, Adult Activity Center, lake, Arts Building, Rotary Reflection Garden, Little Free Library and a walking trail. Two picnic pavilions are available for gatherings or celebrations.

Approximately 1 mile in length from Ardmore Park to Atlanta Memorial Park through Tanyard Creek Park. Connects Ardmore Park, Collier Hills and Collier Hills North neighborhoods.

Ocee Park offers many athletic and recreational options including walking trails, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and picnic pavilions.

There are 50 campsites, all with 50 amp electric and water hookups. Some campsites are considered premium, which means they are open on one side to the shore of Lake Allatoona. Double sites are available.

Vickery Creek Falls is one of Roswell’s most-visited and most-photographed locations. Created as Vickery Creek Dam to help power the Roswell Mill, this now-famous waterfall is surrounded by hiking trails and years of history. Find Vickery Creek Falls at Old Mill Park.

The picturesque and challenging course rambles through the north Georgia foothills, around three sparkling lakes and incorporates numerous elevation changes, making for an unforgettable round of golf.

The one and a half acre park overlooks beautiful Lake Acworth. The park offers great fishing and picnicking opportunities.

This linear park/trail connects by bridge to National Park trails. There are swings and benches along the way.

The mountain is similar to both Stone Mountain and Heritage Area sister, Arabia Mountain but unlike either, it has never been quarried. Today, the park has expanded to more than 1,600 acres and includes lakes, a former golf course now returned to nature and early settler homesteads.

In addition to a baseball field, 0.7-mile walking/jogging track, playground and pavilion, this 12-acre park includes an outdoor classroom and three observation decks.

The Peachtree City Tennis Center is a nationally recognized United States Tennis Association facility open seven days a week. Highlights of the Peachtree City Tennis Center include 24 courts: 12 hard, six soft, and six covered. Enjoy a game of pickle ball at the Peachtree City Tennis Center as well!

156 acres. Handicap-accessible ball field and playground for children with special needs, three baseball/softball fields, football field with lighted walking track, two soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts, playground, pavilion, restrooms, 1-mile paved multipurpose trail.

Pebblepocket Park has one outdoor basketball court suitable for day games. There is also a picnic area for afternoon lunch breaks and a playground where the children can work off their energy and two tennis courts. In the summer months, the swimming pool is open for all water fun! Pebblepocket Park also has restroom facilities.

The park’s active use elements include a recreation center, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, ballfields, a pavilion, and a new disc golf course. Passive amenities include walking paths, open fields, stream, woods.

15 acres. Community recreation center, pottery studio, dance/aerobics room, large community room with catering kitchen, outdoor classroom, five indoor classrooms. Walking trail connects to Pinckneyville Park and Soccer Complex.

58 acres. Seven-field baseball/softball complex, roller hockey rink, free-skate area, pavilions, Medlock Corporate Pavilion, 5,000 sq ft with catering kitchen, pond, 2.4-mile paved multipurpose trail, restrooms, grill.

The houses included in this tour are typical of the plantation homes that dotted the countryside of Gwinnett in the 1800s. Today, less than 15 of these historic houses remain standing in Gwinnett. Proctor Landing is an 82-acre park off Hwy 92 along the banks of Lake Allatoona. The park contains a beach, group pavilions, picnic tables, grills, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, and public restrooms. Group pavilions are available for rental, except on Sundays.
