LOCATE IT: Northeast Georgia Mountains

Andrews Cove Recreation Area in White County offers a cool mountain stream and a peaceful atmosphere, and is only 15 minutes from the popular alpine village of Helen, Georgia. The recreation area is open seasonally, March-October.

Bring your group and spend time at Andy’s Trout Farm. Rent our two bedroom cabins with bunks or pitch your tents.

Both are cascading falls of about 50 feet and are located along Joe Branch Creek. Starting from the rear of the Rabun Beach Camping Area #2, it is a moderately strenuous one mile hike to the viewing bridge at the foot of Angel Falls. Panther Falls is located along the same trail at the ½ mile mark. Above Panther Falls, the trail ascends through a heavy rhododendron canopy along a number of other cascades.

Although we have a limited number of sites they are all very spacious. With 20 campsites, 15 of which are on the river, it allows for a more private camping experience. People are always surprised to see how nice and clean our Cabins are kept and how personable our staff are. Motorcycle friendly.

The Appalachian Trail in Georgia extends some 75 miles through the primitive areas of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Although rising at times to elevations of over 4,000 feet, the Trail is mostly along ridges at elevations of about 3,000 feet.

A World Class Motorsports facility, conducive to cars, karts and motorcycles. We are a family centered organization with outside activities including horseback riding, pool, clubhouse, play sets. The facility is available for private rental as well as open to everyone for viewing and kart rentals.

The Auburn Ball Park is host to Auburn Youth Athletics.

Youth athletics are run by the City of Auburn’s Parks and Leisure Commission.

A 20’ cascade, Bad Branch Falls is 3.2 miles from the Lake Seed Dam. Bad Branch Falls is a beautiful fall in the Rabun County waterfalls system. Crow Creek Falls is a small but scenic waterfall on Crow Creek; it is a triple-tier cascade.

Follow Low Gap Road to the right, instead of going straight toward Minnehaha. At 0.3 miles, you reach Crow Creek Road. Go right and follow the road 2.8 miles to a pull-off on the right. Trailhead is on the left across the road. Bad Branch is a five-minute hike. To get to Crow Creek Falls, stay on Crow Creek Road for another mile. Pull off to the right at telephone pole No. 41-72. Trail is across the road.

Bald Ridge Creek offers many outdoor recreation opportunities including fishing, boating, swimming, wake boarding, kayaking and much more. The 82 campsites come with electric and water hookups.

Beck’s Christmas tree farm offers a selection of trees for your Christmas experience. We have Leyland Cypress and Murray Cypress growing on our farm for you to choose from and we bring select cut Fraser Fir from the North Carolina mountains to give you a wider selection.

This 20-foot cascade is just five minutes from downtown Clayton and is easily accessible. From Clayton, drive east on Warwoman Road for 2.8 miles and park on the left side of the road by the branch. Walk up the right side of the branch on the trail for about 200 yards to a bridge at base of falls.

The Benton MacKaye Trail (BMT) is a 300-mile hiking trail boasting glorious ridgeline views and innumerable mountain stream crossings.

Georgia’s highest state park encompasses some of the most outstanding scenery in Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Roadside overlooks provide spectacular 80-mile vistas, and four hiking trails lead visitors past wildflowers, streams, small waterfalls and lush forests.
