Boggs Creek Recreation Area provides excellent hiking, picnicking, fishing, wildlife and bird-watching, sunrise to sunset, seven days per week. A day-use parking area allows visitors walk-in access past mile 1.1 of Boggs Creek Road, beyond which motorized access is restricted.

Visitors will enjoy fishing and boating on the lake as well as the lush picnic area and large swimming beach, perfect for families. The campground offers 88 sites with electric and water hookups. There are also nine tent-only sites.

Bottoms Christmas Tree Farm is the oldest operating Christmas tree farm in Forsyth County. We are family owned and operated, and have tried to provide the highest quality locally grown Christmas tree since we opened in 1997!

The Heritage and Visitor’s Center includes a wide variety of items important to Braselton’s history, as well as the history and heritage of the surrounding area. We have also included items that, while not old, are an important part of why Braselton is special.

The highest point in Georgia at 4,784 ft., the observation deck offers a breathtaking view of the mountains’ scenic vistas, which sweep a four-state area. September through November it’s even possible to see the skyline of Atlanta.

The Brasstown Valley Golf Course has been ranked by both Golf Digest and Leading Golf Courses of America as one of the top Georgia courses to play. Designed by Denis Griffiths, the golf course winds through wildlife preserves, ponds and streams framed by the mountains.

This bridge was originally a railroad bridge, built about 1870 and used until a new Trestle on River Road was built in 1918 when the railroad was re-routed. The removed section of the bridge was relocated to Cobb Bridge Rd. in South Carolina and spans Chauga Creek.

Buford Dam Park lies just north of Buford Dam on Lake Sidney Lanier. The site features beautiful views of the lake as well as excellent access to swimming, picnicking and boating.

Enjoy a fall pumpkin harvest, hayrides, talking pumpkin heads and popcorn processing. Seasonal (September-November).

Burton Mill Park is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers on Lake Lanier. It’s a nice area to make a splash at the beach or for a quiet meal with friends and family at picnic tables and grills that line a path bordering the lake.

Butternut Creek Golf Course features rolling valley holes and challenging slopes with mountain views from all 18 holes. The Course sits in downtown Blairsville below beautiful Ivy Log Mountain. Butternut Creek plays to a modest 6,500+ yards, but 4 to 6 boxes on every hole give challenging options for every player. Water comes into play on 13 holes.

The Camp Toccoa at Currahee project is to celebrate the lives and contributions of the 6,000 “Toccoa Men” who trained on Currahee Mountain during World War II. The scope of the project entails recreating the Camp Gate, Regimental Headquarters, Bathhouse, Barracks, Pavilion and a display for a C-47 Aircraft to offer visitors an opportunity to see, hear, and feel what those brave men experienced on that hallowed ground and took with them as they were serving their county around the world.

This athletic park offers a playground, two softball fields and restrooms.

With a focus on supplying seasonal produce to local families and restaurants, we offer strawberries and lettuces in the spring; squash, eggplants, and tomatoes in the summer; lots of greens in the fall and winter seasons; and shitake mushrooms whenever they flush.
